In combination with a lithium-ion battery, the electric motor provides sporty support to the 1.4-litre TFSI engine. Together, the engine and the motor can achieve an output of up to 150 kW in the 40 TFSI e.

The Audi A3 Sportback TFSI e plug-in hybrid’s fully digital instrument cluster – the optional Audi virtual cockpit – features an integrated power meter. This shows the system’s total output and the driving mode, as well as the battery’s state of charge and the resulting remaining range
